Reader,
Yesterday, we kicked off Day 1 of the Master Your Marriage Challenge, and one truth kept surfacing throughout the training:
Most couples aren’t arguing about what they think they're arguing about.
They’re arguing about what those things mean to each of them.
We shared stories from our own marriage—including our famous hand sanitizer argument—to illustrate how two people can experience the exact same situation and walk away with completely different interpretations.
That’s because every person communicates through a filter shaped by their upbringing, experiences, expectations, pain, and personality.
One of our favorite points from yesterday was:
“Your inability to communicate is not a reflection of your love for one another. It's a reflection of your different perspectives.
Our goal wasn’t simply to teach better communication.
It was to help couples begin seeing each other through God’s perspective instead of their assumptions.
Unfortunately, registration for this Challenge is now closed, so if you weren’t with us, you missed this live experience.
But don’t worry…
There will be another Master Your Marriage Challenge.
If you’d like to be among the first to know when registration opens again, click the button below.
That way you won’t miss the next opportunity to invest in your marriage.
We can’t wait to help you build the marriage God intended.
Be Blessed,
Jalen & Cacie Barnes
