Husbands, don’t overlook what your wife adds to your vision

Husbands, You Need Your Wife to Succeed

Reader,

Husbands, I want you to think about something today.

What gifts has God placed in your wife that you need for the vision He has given you?

I’ve learned this through our own marriage.

I tend to be a big-picture thinker. When I get a vision from God, I can see where we’re going and start planning how we’re going to get there.

Cacie sees things differently.

Early in our marriage, God gave me the vision to open our home and begin ministering to couples.

I came to Cacie and said, “This is what I believe God wants us to do. Let’s get ready.”

She immediately started thinking about things I hadn’t considered.

She said, “If we’re going to bring people into our home, we’re going to need to cook for them.”

She thought about the furniture.

She thought about the presentation.

She thought about how people would feel when they came into the house.

All of those things mattered.

What people remembered more than what we taught was the food Cacie prepared and the environment she created.

I’ve seen the same thing in our businesses and our events.

I can have the big vision, but Cacie often sees the details around that vision that help people connect with what we’re building.

Being a helpmeet is NOT just hearing what your husband says and doing what he tells you to do.

Your wife brings gifts to the marriage that you need. If you don't know how to recognize those gifts, your vision will fail.

Husbands, pay attention to those gifts.

And wives, don’t assume that the vision your husband carries means your role is small. God has placed things in you that are necessary for that vision to reach the finish line.

Your marriage is a partnership.

You both have a responsibility to each other and to the vision God has given your marriage.

In Day 4 of the Master Your Marriage Challenge, we spend an hour talking about how to recognize the vision God has given your marriage and how to create a plan to execute that vision.

If you want to learn how to do this, you deserve to take the Master Your Marriage Challenge.

It’s a four-hour, self-paced course covering four important areas of marriage: Communication, Trust, Intimacy, and Vision.

You can take the challenge at your own pace and work through each topic together.

If you’re ready to invest in your marriage, sign up for the Master Your Marriage Challenge and start building a stronger foundation together.

We’ll see you inside!
